S.O.S.
Psychotic wolf-witch hybrid on the loose.
Aurelia Clementine is about to make this new pack her b*itch!

I, Aurelia Delianna Clementine, used to have all my screws intact as the strongest — and sole hybrid — of the Clementine family. With magic that could destroy New York with a snap of my fingers, it’s a good thing my inner mini-wolf had more sanity than me, especially after I lost a chunk of myself when I was rejected by my best friend.

That incident destroyed the future I envisioned for us, but now I’m living my best life with my bestie CEO, Willow De Luca, and her stalker "not my boyfriend" Onyx Charm. When two new packs enter New York, I decide to have some fun with them, but I never expected to meet him again: Ace Hunter.

My former best friend — or should I say, my destined mate who rejected me?

In a world of darkness and threatened power lineages, I'll have to prove to him and his dangerous pack that I'm not the same helpless hybrid he abandoned way back then.
I may be crazy, high on happy pills, and talk to myself from time to time, but I’m more powerful than ever before.

It’s time for him to face the consequences of breaking a Clementine.

WOLF REJECTED is a full-length (157k+) Dark Paranormal Rejected Mates Romance. Recommended for 18+ due to language and sexual situations. Readers of WOLF AWAKENED - WILLOW'S FORBIDDEN PACK will enjoy this thrilling adventure of Willow De Luca's best friend, Aurelia Clementine.

Wolf Rejected is book one in the Aurelia’s Pack of Misfits series by Avery Song.

Look at that cover. It’s intense and what drew me to pick up this novel. Unfortunately this story was all over the place and I’m conflicted on how to feel about it. I found some aspects interesting and then others that were just bizarre.

Our lead Aurelia is a hybrid, witch and wolf, yet we don’t see the wolf aspect. The author focus on the witch stuff and only brings the wolf in now and then, but we don’t get much. I was disappointed in this. I wanted a better blend of the two natures. As for Aurelia she’s weak and doesn’t show any growth or improvement. She lets everyone manipulate her and doesn’t do anything to change the situation. Theirs a lot of emotional abuse, self hatred, and copious amounts of pill use to try and make herself better, but all it’s doing is making sure she doesn’t meet the issues head on and hides away from it all. It was so frustrating! I wanted to like her, but she never changed. Same pattern over and over even though she realizes that she’s in a cage.

When we start Aurelia is 8-years-old then it jumps 2 years and then 8 years more. It was odd how the story starts and progress. It was all over the place and didn’t make sense. I also couldn’t get behind any of the romances. Theirs just not enough explanation on anything, not enough character growth, and really it was so all over the place and didn’t make sense.

Wolf Rejected was not the book for me. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.

Rated: 2 Stars

  3. Another one with a gorgeous cover, but too bad about the plot.
